Background

Sue Keil is nationally-recognized for her media expertise and keen negotiating skills. Named “Media Buyer of the Year” by client corporations and national trade publications, Sue has been the subject of numerous newspaper and magazine articles throughout her career.

Today, Keil is a pre-eminent media buyer located in Northern California. Her contributions to the industry include, at the request of McDonald’s Corporation in Chicago, co-authoring the McDonald’s Media Buying Handbook, considered by many to be the “bible” of media buying.

Sue began her career at Kelly Broadcasting in Sacramento. There she developed a keen knowledge of broadcast media and later joined one of the area’s top advertising firms. Moving cross-country to further her education and training, Sue gained top-level experience under many of the nation’s most noted professionals in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. She founded Keil & associates in 1991.

Noted for her strategic media expertise and savvy, Sue is an expert planner and negotiator. She knows exactly how to get what’s needed for her clients by applying common sense and out-of-the-box thinking to the tools of her trade.

Sue has spent her entire career helping clients achieve their marketing goals. Her passion for what she does is always evident no matter how large or small the client. Featured in the Sacramento Business Journal’s Who’s Who in Media, Sue is one of only two people in its 85 year history to have been twice named the Sacramento Advertising Person of the Year by the Sacramento Advertising Federation. Sue is also active in numerous charitable and non profit organizations, serving on the boards of many.
